When the 15% applies

On any order above $54, 15% is more than the $8 minimum, so you simply pay 15%. A $96 order costs $14.40 in service fee; a $300 order costs $45.

When the $8 minimum applies

Below $54, the flat $8 minimum takes over. A $20 keyring costs $8 in service fee, not $3. Small single orders are the least efficient to ship — bundling a few items spreads the fee.
