KorExBridgeFrom Korea to the Putting Green: A Real Concierge Story
A U.S. golfer wanted a putter only sold in Korea. Here's how we sourced it and inspected it and packed it. Then we delivered it to his door. Step by step.
Sometimes a customer knows exactly what they want. A specific model and a specific spec. And it just doesn't exist in their country. That's the case we love most. A golfer in Minneapolis reached out to us. He was looking for the Odyssey TRTL DB Pistol Putter (34" Right Hand). This model is sold only through Callaway Korea. Not available at U.S. retailers. Not on any U.S. website.
We said: no problem. Here's how the whole thing went down.
The customer emailed us at hello@korexbridge.com with his spec: Odyssey TRTL DB Putter · right hand · 34 inches. He'd done his research. He knew the model existed in Korea and that it wasn't sold in the US.
We confirmed stock availability with Callaway Korea and sent him a total cost breakdown: product price (KRW) + international shipping + our service fee. He approved and we got to work.
We ordered directly from Callaway Korea's official store. The item: Item #73055Y3401 · PT RH OD TRTL DB PSTL 34 KR. Arrived at our Seoul facility within 2 days. The package also included an Odyssey ball marker and alignment tool as a promotional gift.
We always order from official brand channels or authorized Korean retailers. Never the gray market. Every product comes with a Korean receipt.
Before packing anything we do a full inspection. We check that the model number and shaft length and hand orientation and condition all match the order exactly. In this case: right hand ✓ · 34" ✓ · TRTL DB head ✓ · original accessories included ✓.
We then emailed all inspection photos to the customer so he could see his putter before it even left Korea.
Golf clubs are long and narrow and fragile at the head and grip. They need more than just a box. We wrapped the entire putter in several layers of bubble wrap with extra care around the head. The whole thing went into a reinforced cardboard box sized to fit snugly with FRAGILE stickers on both ends.
It's a little extra effort. But it's the difference between a putter that arrives perfect and one that arrives dented.
Once it was packed we handed it to FedEx and emailed the customer right away with:
- Packaging photos so he could see the condition before dispatch
- His FedEx tracking number
- The estimated delivery date
- A note that local customs or carrier schedules can occasionally cause minor delays
We believe in proactive communication. The customer shouldn't have to wonder where his package is.
The package landed in Minneapolis MN. FedEx confirmed delivery. A few days later we got a message from the customer. This is why we do what we do:
